Vidmar STAK System

The STAK system by Vidmar is an adjustable racking solution designed for high-density storage of heavy and bulky items. Built with dynamically adjustable pallets rather than fixed shelves, this STAK system allows items to be positioned in vertical increments to allow facilities to maximize their storage density.

Using an integrated lifting device, a single operator can store and retrieve loads weighing up to 4,000 lbs, eliminating the need of a forklift. This allows the STAK system to be an efficient option and is well-suited to store a range of items with varying sizes, shapes, and heights.

What are the Benefits of a STAK System?

STAK Systems offer a safe and efficient way to move inventory around facilities. Here are the main benefits of the Vidmar STAK System.

  • Small Footprint - these systems offer as much as a 70% smaller footprint compared to fixed horizontal beam rack storage. With these systems, facilities can have narrower aisles as forklifts aren’t needed.
  • Ergonomics - the movement of lifting and handling is engineered with the worker in mind. Operators can safely move heavy loads without compromising their safety.
  • High-Density - the STAK system offers a high-density storage solution by making use of every cubic foot, not wasting vertical space.
  • Adjustable - pallets can be repositioned to allow for changing inventory, making changes to your system easy.
  • Loading Precision - pallets are positioned at vertical increments of 4" so items can be stored exactly where they’re needed.
  • Versatility - bays can be added onto your system as your facility grows and changes. Sections of mixed widths can also be in the same system, adding flexibility to your setup.
  • User Friendly - this system is easy to learn and controls don’t require licenses or certifications.

Project Spotlight: STAK System Project Application

A local gas company was in need of an efficient solution tailored to their larger inventory item needs. They needed a safe way for their workers to be able to grab and move these items while also maximizing their available space. With a Vidmar STAK system paired with a crane solution, this local St. Louis gas company was able to increase efficiency in their facility.

Key Features

  • Maximized Space: by using a crane for picking, the need for a forklift was eliminated, which also allowed aisles to be narrower and denser
  • Optimal Storage: pallets can now be adjusted to the most optimal height, allowing this company to change their setup depending on their evolving needs
  • Safety: this system significantly improves safety in the warehouse by reducing the need for manual heavy lifting or use of a forklift

Components of the STAK System

Pallet: available in a variety of sizes with 6 different widths and 4 different depths

Rear Lip Pallet: 1 ¼" rear lip to prevent items from falling off the backs of the pallets

Pallet Support Frame: stores load on skids, available in a variety of widths

Tub Kit: four sidewalls, available in three heights

Tub Kit Dividers & Partitions: sidewall and front-to-back partitions with dividers

Tub Kit with Drop Front: items can be removed easily when front wall is dropped, available in three heights
