Where the story begins
Dan Donovan incorporated Siggins Bin Systems with a focus on automotive parts storage, laying the foundation for the company that would become Industrial Shelving Systems.

Dick Compton joins the team
Dick Compton was hired to lead automotive dealership parts storage sales and help Dan Donovan run the growing business.

Siggins Bin Systems changed its name to Industrial Shelving Systems, reflecting a broader vision for the storage challenges the company could solve.

Dick Compton officially purchased Industrial Shelving Systems from Dan Donovan and carried the company forward with a commitment to customers, employees, and trusted product lines.

1987
Dan Compton joins the business
Dan Compton was hired to lead automotive dealership parts storage sales while Dick focused on running the company.

Mike Compton joins operations
Mike Compton joined Industrial Shelving Systems to work in operations, strengthening the day-to-day support behind the company's storage projects.

Industrial Shelving Systems moved from Crestwood, Missouri, into its current facility in Kirkwood, creating new room for the company, team, and capabilities to grow.
