Keeping Data Centers Secure: Wire Partition Used to Control Access for a St. Louis Data Center

Challenge: A data center was in need of a customized setup for their customer to store their servers. With sensitive data on the line, this data center needed to ensure a sturdy cage with restricted access.

Solution: With WireCrafters wire partition, we were able to make cutouts to fit around existing cable trays, pipes, plumbing, and sprinklers to create a cage that fit around the server. Hinged doors with interchangeable locks and a thumb latch were added inside the cage.

Results: This customer now has a secure solution that can be adapted over time due to the flexibility of WireCrafters.

Secured Bays & Seismic-Resistant Pallet Racks: Custom Storage for a Gas Company in St. Louis

Challenge: This utility company was looking for a solution to separate inventory between their departments for better inventory control. They had bays setup for each of their departments and needed a secure solution with restricted access.

Solution: Each bay was measured and then separated with wire partition, each with a lock on the door to enter the bay. Each department can now access their bay but not others to better keep track of inventory across the company.

Results: With separate, secure bays, each departments’ inventory can stay separate and authorized personnel cannot access these areas, allowing for more accountability.

Streamlined Automotive Storage System for a Ford ProShop Dealership

Challenge: This new dealership with a brand-new facility needed a strategic system for an efficient and safe setup.

Solution: To ensure that this dealership would have a safe and secure setup, we worked with WireCrafters to design and install a night delivery cage. This way items can still get delivered at times when someone may not be able to receive them.

Results: Access to the parts department is restricted, allowing delivery drivers or visitors to be able to enter the facility but not have access to everything. This way injuries are prevented from visitors walking around and inventory is accounted for.

DEA Cages

For drug manufacturers or distributers, DEA level secured storage is a necessity to keep controlled substances secured away. DEA cages offer a high level of security that meet DEA requirements. These wire partition cages come equipped with self-closing and self-locking doors with a push car exit, and bolts are also tamper proof and welded to prevent any removal, meeting DEA requirements.

DEA Specifications Include:

Self-closing and self-locking doors
Walls must be constructed of no less than No 10 steel fabric with openings no more than 1-1/2” across the square, mounted on steel posts, set no more than 10 feet apart with horizontal reinforcement
Walls should be mounted to posts at least one inch diameter, lagged to the floor
Ceiling should be of the same materials, or erected to reach roof deck of building
Panels must mount flush to floor
